The Movin' On Band

I'm with the band... haha... I always wanted to say that. :P About two weeks ago I was asked to photograph The Movin On Band.  They performed for a fundraiser at Bourbon Street located in Merrionette Park Illinois.


I met the band through a friend of mine, Marina.  She's one of the lead singers in the band and she has such an amazing voice!  Let me tell you... they are such a talented group!  They really just blew me away with how great and professional they are.  I had so much fun being able to be on stage and photographing their passion to play and perform as artists.

The Movin' On Band is an exciting Funk/Pop/Rock/R&B/Dance Band from the South Side of Chicago. Per Request their music can vary from Motown to Classic Rock. They play tributes to Carlos Santana, Chicago, Elvis, Journey, and Sha Na Na from the 50's, 60's, including party favorites. They enjoy mixing in some of their original recordings in between songs. Various members of The Movin On Band have performed with recording stars like, Buddy Miles , Hall of Famers from Santana's Drummer Mike Schreive and percussion Chepito Areas, Jose Feliciano, Los Lobos, Malo and Tierra.

I will never stop saying how great these guys are. Not only are they great musicians but they are super funny too!  I always have fun at their concerts.  Make sure to check them out at their next concert.  Keep up the great work guys!

The M&M'S... Mason & Madden

I have known Sharon and Danny for years and I consider them to be good friends of mine. They have such a lovely family and I truly love them with all my heart! Their oldest son Alex is such a sweet, great, smart, honest and an awesome ten year old. And Elijah is such an energetic, funny, kind, smart and witty seven year old. Sharon and Danny have raised beautiful kind hearted boys. I know that Alex and Elijah are going to grow up and be great stars, they have bright futures ahead of them. 

Just recently Sharon and Danny added two new members to their family... the M&M's... Mason and Madden. They were born on Friday March 18, 2011. :)

A week before the twins were born, Sharon agreed to take maternity photos. We met on Saturday March 12th and went to a park nearby for the photo shoot. It was of course a lot of fun not only for me but for them too. I think this will be a day that they will always remember and when the twins grow up they will be able to see how much they were already loved. I was very happy with the end results of these photos. Happy, fun, and sweet.

On Friday March 18, 2011 I received a picture text from Sharon. It was a picture of the twins... Mason and Madden were born! :) I was so happy to hear the great news and very excited to go meet them. I walked in the hospital room and started to tear up when I saw them. Here's the cuties....

Mason and Madden are so tiny and so precious! Danny called them his sugar bears and I thought that was so cute! Sharon and Danny are very proud parents and Alex and Elijah I know are proud big brothers too! I stopped by their house a week later to take more newborn photos of the twins. I love the first picture because Madden looks like he's waving and saying "hello world!". So sweet! :)

This was such a great photo session and I'm very happy that I was a part of it. I hope one day that I'm blessed with a family like this of my own. Welcome Mason and Madden! Congratulations Sharon, Danny, Alex and Elijah on the newest members of your family! :)
